Shah Rukh Khan to skip his annual birthday meet
This year, Shah Rukh Khan skipped his annual tradition of stepping outside his mansion, Mannat, and greeting fans on the morning of his birthday. mid-day had earlier reported that the actor had cancelled his annual birthday meet-up as he is busy shooting back-to-back songs for Siddharth Anand’s King.
However, on the occasion of his birthday, Shah Rukh’s fans were treated to a song from his upcoming movie, King. Sung by Arijit Singh, Ed Sheeran and Madhubanti, the song, Tu Mil Jaaye, is a romantic number featuring SRK and Deepika Padukone. The song also gave a glimpse into the raw and intense action.
Apart from the song, Shah Rukh’s house, Mannat, also lit up at midnight on his birthday with a special surprise message for his fans on his birthday. A billboard was erected at Mannat which flashed a handwritten note from Shah Rukh which read: “Thank you all for your wishes and love. Sending mine right back to you all.” SRK signed the note with ‘lots of love and a big hug’.
