Greater Chennai Corporation has introduced QR code payments for property tax to expedite collections following poll-related staff deployment delays. The civic body aims to collect the remaining ₹400 crore of its ₹900 crore annual revenue target, with over 14 lakh assessees. This initiative follows a successful early payment incentive scheme last year.
