Karnataka government has approved the Rs 18,000-crore Greater Bengaluru integrated suburban township project, a 7,481-acre ‘work-live-play’ initiative spanning Bengaluru South district. The state will guarantee Rs 7,500 crore from Hudco, with the remaining funds sourced from BDA and CA site monetization. Land acquisition compensation is set at over Rs 2 crore per acre or equivalent developed land.
