Rajasthan has begun its annual mineral auction plan. Nine major limestone blocks were successfully auctioned in April. These blocks are spread across Nagaur, Jaisalmer, and Chittorgarh districts. They hold significant reserves estimated at 920 million tonnes. The state expects to receive substantial upfront payments and over Rs 24,000 crore in revenue over 50 years.
