Goa’s TCP department is designating over 82.8 lakh sqm of land as non-developable, marking a significant move to protect ecologically sensitive areas. This initiative, driven by forest department recommendations, aims to preserve natural cover, sand dunes, orchards, and water bodies across Salcete, Mormugao, Sattari, and Pernem for future generations.
