A company law appeals court has dismissed Vedanta’s challenge to Gautam Adani’s group winning bid for Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. The court found no merit in Vedanta’s petitions. Adani’s Rs 14,535 crore bid was preferred by creditors over Vedanta’s plan. This ruling clears the way for Adani’s takeover of Jaiprakash Associates, which owns India’s only Formula One circuit.
