The UP government informed the National Green Tribunal that 888 unauthorized colonies are discharging 40 MLD of sewage daily into the Hindon River. Additionally, 51 open storm drains in the basin are carrying an estimated 1,067 MLD of mixed pollutants into the river and its tributaries.
