The Central Groundwater Authority has directed the Uttar Pradesh groundwater department to take action against real estate developers in Noida. This follows a complaint alleging excessive groundwater extraction and wastage at construction sites. Water pumped out during basement excavation is reportedly being discharged into drains. The authority has requested a report on the actions taken.
