Nearly two years after initiating joint ventures for slum redevelopment, 181 out of 228 projects have been scrapped due to lack of progress and feasibility issues. State-run agencies like BMC, Mhada, and MMRDA will now implement fewer projects, with the remaining returning to SRA for redevelopment under new schemes.
